High-speed rotary compression system for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical & veterinary tablets
5-55 Stations | 50,000 - 400,000 Tablets/Hour | Max Compression Force: 80-150 kN
Precision rotary compression for pharmaceutical-grade tablets
The ZP Series Rotary Tablet Press Machine represents state-of-the-art tablet compression technology designed to meet the stringent requirements of modern pharmaceutical manufacturing. Our fully automated rotary presses integrate powder feeding, pre-compression, main compression, and tablet ejection into a seamless, high-throughput workflow.
With production capacities ranging from 50,000 to 400,000 tablets per hour across 5 to 55 stations, our equipment serves both R&D laboratories and large-scale production facilities. The dual-layer servo-driven feeder ensures ±1-2% weight variation, critical for maintaining dosage uniformity per USP <905> and EP 2.9.40 standards.
Constructed with 316L stainless steel punch tips and hardened steel die tables with Ra ≤ 0.4 μm surface finish, our machines meet cGMP, CE, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. The 10-inch touch-screen HMI allows operators to switch between tablet sizes (6-25mm diameter) in under 30 minutes, with pre-set compression recipes stored for instant recall.

5-step rotary compression cycle for precise tablet formation
Die table rotates under the feed frame where dual-layer servo-driven feeders distribute granules evenly into each die cavity. Adjustable feed blade speed ensures uniform fill depth for consistent tablet weight.
Upper and lower punches enter the die cavity to apply pre-compression force (adjustable 10-50 kN), expelling air from the powder bed and forming a preliminary compact. This prevents lamination and capping defects.
The main compression rolls apply final tableting force (up to 150 kN), compressing the tablet to target hardness. Closed-loop servo force control maintains ±1% accuracy across all stations simultaneously.
Lower punches rise to eject tablets from the die cavity onto the take-off blade. An anti-sticking film on the punch faces prevents adherence. Scrapers keep punch heads clean for consistent compression.
Optional in-line metal detectors and weight checkers inspect 100% of tablets. Under/over-weight tablets and those with metallic foreign matter are automatically rejected. Output rates up to 400,000 tablets/hour.

YohoAI ZP series presses are CE certified, cGMP compliant, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant, and ISO 9001:2015 certified. They are designed for pharmaceutical production in the US, EU, WHO-prequalified, and other international markets requiring these regulatory standards.
The ZP-5 (5 stations, 50,000 tablets/hr max) suits R&D and pilot batches. The ZP-19 (19 stations, 150,000/hr) handles small-scale commercial production. The ZP-35 (35 stations, 280,000/hr) is the best seller for mid-to-large-scale facilities. The ZP-55 (55 stations, 400,000/hr) serves high-volume production plants.
The dual-layer servo-driven feeder achieves +/-1-2% weight variation per USP uniformity of dosage units standards. With the optional on-line weighbridge system, weight variation is reduced to +/-0.5%, ensuring tight dosage uniformity for active pharmaceutical ingredients across all 35 stations.
Complete product changeover takes under 30 minutes thanks to tool-free punch and die removal and pre-set compression recipes stored on the HMI. The quick-release punch system allows operators to switch between different tablet sizes and shapes without requiring tools or lengthy revalidation.
