Empty Capsule Feeding

Empty hard capsules (gelatin or HPMC) are loaded into the capsule hopper. A vacuum-driven separator splits each capsule into body and cap halves, orienting them into the dosing stations of the rotating turret.

Capsule Separation

The capsule bodies are seated in the lower bores while the caps are held in the upper bores. A vacuum system ensures reliable separation with a success rate exceeding 99.9% for standard capsules.

Power Dosing – Tamping

Powder from the feed hopper is drawn into the dosing disc cavities. A series of tamping pins (5-stroke) progressively compress the powder into uniform plugs. The tamping force and depth are servo-adjustable for each formulation.

Plug Ejection into Capsule Body

The tamped powder plugs are ejected from the dosing disc and deposited into the capsule bodies. The ejection pins ensure clean transfer without powder loss or cross-contamination.

Excess Powder Removal

Any residual powder around the capsule body rim is removed by a vacuum suction system. This ensures clean sealing surfaces and prevents powder leakage from finished capsules.

Capsule Closing

The upper bores carrying the caps are aligned with the lower bores containing filled bodies. Closing pins push the caps onto the bodies, applying controlled pressure to lock the capsules without damaging the shell.

Ejection & Collection

Finished capsules are ejected from the turret bores and directed into the output chute. An automatic counting and collection system sorts the capsules into containers for downstream processing.

In-Line Quality Check

An optional in-line weight checker or visual inspection system monitors capsule weight, integrity, and appearance in real time. Reject capsules are automatically diverted to a separate bin for review.
